Installation:
This filter cutting tool adopt two bearing design to make the oil filter easier to rotate. You can adjust the position of this accessory to expand or narrow the cutting range.
To use the oil filter crusher, set the old oil filter on both bearings so that the filter "can" is cut under the mounting flange. Next, tighten the cutter against the oil filter. Hold the tool in one hand and spin the filter in the other. Then easy to cut off.
Open the filter to check the size/number of metal particles in the filter pleats. If you see a bunch (or a chunk), there is a problem and an engine diagnostic should be done.
