The Caixa's role is to be played as a fast and high counterpoint line to the deeper Surdos and middle range Repenique. The Meinl 14” Aluminum Caixa has a snare drum style snare, complete with a snare throw-off. The rims are secured with six countersunk tuning lugs. All edges are smoothly finished for player comfort. The hardware is chrome plated for enduring great looks. A tuning key is included. Meinl Caixas come equipped with heads that have our logo printed on the underside.
