This Lind Equipment ML2930-Y100 auto-rewind static grounding reel is painted with red enamel and consists of a 100 amp copper alligator clip with a jaw opening of 1", 100' of 3/32" plated steel cable, and an auto-rewind reel on a cantilevered base. It has a maximum electrical resistance of 5 ohms between the clamp and the mounting base, and is suitable for grounding and bonding containers and equipment for dissipation of static electricity during flammable material transfer operations. This 17.3 lb. reel's housing includes a sealed chamber that protects the reel's operating parts from dirt and corrosion, and is held together with rivets. The reel's cantilevered base has an unpainted mounting face for properly conductive contact when mounted to a grounded surface or conductive equipment. The 100' cable is coated with yellow Hytrel (TPE, thermoplastic elastomer) for resistance to chemicals and heat, and has an outside diameter (OD) of 5/32".
