  • IDEAL REPLACEMENT HOT END - This V5 J-head hotend is perfectly compatible with ANYCUBIC I3 MEGA, I3 MEGA X, Mega S, Mega Pro 3D Printer. All metal and comes with extra hardened steel nozzle, it is a ideal replacement hot end.
  • GOOD PERFORMANCE - PTFE tube goes through pneumatic joint and down to the nozzle, the feeding is smooth and could reduce clogging. Working temperature up to 250℃, suitable for printing filaments such as: PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, etc. The heater wire and thermistor wire come with suitable connetors, simply remove old J-head hotend and replace with the new J-head, plug wires to the electronic board, then ready to print. It is suggested to re-level your hot bed after installing this print head.
  • UPGRADED NOZZLE - Comes with an extra 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle, it has a longer life time than the normal brass nozzle, and due to high temperature resistance (up to 450c), it could keep stable temperature during printing, makes the filament out evenly, create more perfect 3D models than normal metal nozzle. Also with higher print speed in same print precision. Not easy clog during printing, easy to clean.
  • PRE-ASSEMBLED HOTEND - All parts, like PTFE tube, 12V 40W heater, NTC 100K thermistor, bore 4.1mm throat, V6 PC4-01 pneumatic connector, 0.4mm brass nozzle, mega V5 radiating pipe and heater block are pre-assembled, it is easy to install. But some parts might be loose cuased by shipping, we high suggest to tighten each part again before use.
  • Package Includes: 1 Set assembled I3 Mega hotend V5 J-head hotend (Included: PTFE tube, 12V 40W heater, NTC 100K thermistor, bore 4.1mm throat, V6 PC4-01 pneumatic connector, 0.4mm brass nozzle, mega V5 radiating pipe, heater block and silicone sock), extra 1x 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle.

What should we do if the hot end is blocked?

1. Keep Good Mentality: because once you are frustrated , you may not be able to solve any problems.

2. Know Feeding Processes: Let's take broden extruder as an example: Filament tray - Extruder - Teflon tube - Hotend - Throat pipe/ heat break - Nozzle, these could help us shooting the problem quickly.

3. Basic Setting: Extruder motor and slicing parameters, if you don't know how to set then please use the default parameters.

4. Filament: check if there are phenomena, impurities, damp, dusty or large diameter error.

5. Extruder: The gear is slippery or too tight, recommended to lubricate it or replace it.

6. PTFE tube: check if the inner wall is smooth and resistant to high temperature.

7. Pneumatic Head: it is recommended to use straight through type, or pay attention to the connection during installation.

8. Throat Tube/ Head-break: If the cooling effect is poor, it melts in advance, or is blocked during the extraction process.

9. Hotend Fan: check if it is installed backwards or broken, and the cooling effect is poor, causing the filament to melt in advance.

10. Nozzle: check if it is not tightened, or residual filament blocked, and the installation is crooked.

11. Nozzle Fan: Adjust the direction, do not blow on the nozzle, because low temperature is unable to fully melt the filament and cause blockage.

Although most of blocking caused by the hotend kits, not all of them are. Before you replace it, please shoot issues according above steps.
