Obatala, in the Santeria religion, is one of the most respected Orishas (deities). He is considered the father of all other Orishas and is often associated with creation and purity. According to the beliefs, Obatala is entrusted by Olodumare, the Supreme God, with creating the world and all humanity. This deity is typically symbolized by white which represents purity, wisdom, peace, and morality. Obatala is highly worshipped because of his role in the creation and harmonious existence of mankind. He is also known to intercede in legal and justice matters.
