1. Slowly turn the Ignition Button counter-clockwise until you hear a hissing noise (this means gas is being released from the lighter). Do not turn the Ignition Button all the way (maximum level). 2. Press the Ignition Button to light the torch. If the flame does not ignite, turn the Ignition Button a little more in the same direction as before (counter-clockwise) and press it again. 3. Once the flame ignites, it will stay lit. The level of the flame is adjustable. Turn the Ignition Button clockwise for a weaker flame or counter-clockwise for a strong flame. 4. To distinguish the flame, turn the Ignition Button clockwise to the lowest setting (until you are unable to turn the dial any further). 5. When the torch is not in use, always ensure the Ignition Button is turned to the lowest setting and that no flame or gas is leaking from the nozzle.
