American International Electric impulse hand sealers are a great option for lower volume applications such as the sealing of plastic bags and poly-tubing. This AIE impulse hand sealer has a 2 mm seal, ideal for sealing materials that are 6 mils thick or less. It is important to understand that a heat sealer with a cutter should be used for poly-tubing. Another rule of thumb is to purchase a sealer that is 2 inches larger than the widest bag that needs to be heat-sealed. The extra inch on each side of the bag will allow a strong seal and faster operation. AIE impulse hand sealers create excellent air and watertight seals on plastics such as polyethylene, polyurethane, polyvinylchloride, polypropylene, and other heat-sealable materials. An AIE foot sealer should be considered for moderate-volume applications and an AIE band sealer for high volume.
