The Ultrassist black teeth are mounted on the adjacent sides of a target molar tooth that is being prepped. While practicing a procedure, if the burr of the hand tool touches either black tooth, the black paint will either come off or become scratched. That provides instant feedback to the student or practitioner that an adjacent tooth (black) other than the target one was inadvertently touched and possibly damaged.
Our products include a dental typodont model with 32 removable teeth, screwdriver, replacement screws, instruction leaflet and 24pcs of black replacement teeth. The 32 teeth on the dental model can be easily removed with a screwdriver.
The black replacement teeth are the upper and lower canines, the first premolar, the second premolar, the first molar, the second molar, and the third molar. Each tooth comes with 2 black replacement teeth for a total of 24 black teeth. Instructions are included to easily replace the black teeth.
The dental model has removable pink silicone gingiva. The soft gingiva is enough to facilitate probing and subgingival scaling. Its contact areas, interdental spaces and realistic intercuspation of the teeth provide a perfect occlusion.
The Typodont is ideally suited for Dental Hygiene Students. It is easily adapted to fit most mannequins and pole-mounting systems. Teeth model can be used for practicing cavity preparations, fillings, crown preparation, impression taking, bridgework, and building waxed teeth.

Why are black-colored teeth included in the Typodont Kit?
Black-painted teeth are designed to help dental practitioners gauge the accuracy of their techniques in various procedures. The black teeth are mounted on adjacent sides of a target tooth that is being prepped. While practicing a procedure, if the burr of the hand tool touches a black tooth, the black paint will either come off or become scratched. That will alert the student or practitioner that a tooth (black) that was adjacent to the target tooth was inadvertently touched and possibly damaged. This provides immediate feedback to the person that they need to be more accurate and precise in performing the procedure. The black teeth serve as a guide to help improve skills and avoid accidental damage in real life situations.
