Wood Betony (Stachys Officinalis) is a perennial herb, with perennial, fibrous, short rhizome. The stem is erect, 30-60 (100) cm high. The leaves are covered with rough hairs on both sides. The flowers are large, irregular, and bisexual. Corolla is light purple, rarely white, covered with a frequent fluff. Wood Betony blooms from late June to September. The fruit is dry, consisting of four oblong, smooth, brown single-seeded nuts.
