This Lovejoy Oldham coupling hub replaces hubs on Lovejoy MOL series Oldham style flexible couplings and is made of aluminum alloy for light weight and corrosion resistance. This hub locks to the shaft using either set screws or a clamp style mechanism for a fit that resists shifting or becoming misaligned. Lovejoy MOL series Oldham style flexible couplings are suitable for use in applications requiring zero backlash in parallel misalignments, such as in actuators, pumps, positioning slides, and other stepper drive applications.
Flexible couplings are used to link two rotating shafts that are not aligned in order to transmit the rotational power, known as torque, from one shaft to the other.
