Cautions
If you are using an iPhone without a 3.5mm jack (i.e. iPhone X), make sure you are using the original Apple lightning to 3.5mm adapter (or an equivalent adapter that connects to the microphone). Most replacement lightning to 3.5mm adapters will not connect to the microphone. Similarly, if you are using an Android device without a 3.5mm jack, make sure you are using a USB C to 3.5mm adapter that will connect to the microphone.
