Titanium Grade 5 (6AL4V) fasteners are equivalent strength to SAE Grade 8 or Metric 10.9 steel hardware. Titanium hardware averages 45 percent lighter than steel while retaining the same strength. Ti 6Al-4V alloy combines high strength, light weight, and high corrosion resistance.
