Metal fillers allow these FDA Ring Flange Gaskets to be picked up by metal detection systems should they tear or fall into the process stream. Buna-N has excellent resistance to oil, water, and mild chemicals. It's all rubber construction makes it more compressible and resilient than Aramid.
