Epoxidized soybean oil is an organic substance obtained by oxidation treatment of soybean oil. The chemical formula is (RC2H2OR'COO)3C3H5. It is a light yellow viscous oily liquid at room temperature with low odor. It is non-toxic and has a boiling point of 150°C (0.53 kPa). It is insoluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents and hydrocarbons, and slightly soluble in ethanol. It has excellent heat resistance, light resistance and compatibility.

Application:
1. Widely used as PVC plasticizer and stabilizer: such as packaging materials, films, pipes, refrigerator seals, artificial leather, floor leather, wires and cables and other daily-use plastic products, etc.;
2. Cosmetic plasticizer, used for film-forming substances;
3. It can be used as a softener in chewing gum to optimize the taste;
4. Biodegradable agricultural film. Epoxy soybean oil can be polymerized with citric acid to form a polyester coating on kraft paper, which is used to make biodegradable agricultural film. This coating can increase the wet strength of the paper and reduce the degradation rate of the paper;
5. It can also be used in special inks, paints, coatings, synthetic rubbers and liquid composite stabilizers.
