About this Dryer moisture sensor:
The moisture sensor monitors the clothing's moisture level and sends a signal to the control board when the clothes are dry.
If your dryer turns off too early or continues running for a while after the clothes are dry, the moisture sensor might be damaged.
This part W3387223 is compatible with Dryer Brands Whirl-pool, Ken-more, May-tag, Ken-more Elite, Kitchen-aid, Ama-na Sears, Ing-lis, Cros-ley & Sears.
Step By Step Install Instructions:
1.As with any repair, be sure to unplug the appliance before beginning.
2.To replace a moisture sensor bar in your dryer, first remove the lint filter.
3.Next, unthread the screws securing the filter housing.
4.Lift out the housing and disconnect the wires from the moisture sensor bars.
5.Use a small flathead screwdriver to help pry out the old sensor bar you're replacing.
6.Install the new moisture sensor bar by sliding it into position on the filter housing and snap it into place.
7.Return the housing to the dryer and connect the wires to the sensor bars.
8.Hold the filter flap down and reposition the housing.
9.Reinstall the mounting screws.
10.Replace the lint filter.
11.Plug the power cord back in and your dryer should be ready for use.
