LOCTITE 406 - Low viscosity instant adhesive for quick repairs
LOCTITE's instant adhesive is the right choice for quick repairs. The fast curing adhesive is specially formulated to bond plastics and elastomers. It can also be used as a rubber glue (including EPDM). For reliable bonding, the instant adhesive is extra strong and optimal for applications that require quick repairs. The industrial adhesive is characterised by low viscosity. It also has excellent resistance to temperatures of up to +120°C. For easy application, the superglue is liquid and cures quickly at room temperature. LOCTITE primers (770 and 7239) can be used to increase adhesion on difficult-to-bond materials.
To use, surfaces should be clean and free of grease. Clean all surfaces with LOCTITE SF 7063 or SF 7070. If necessary, use a primer or activator and allow it to dry. Apply the adhesive to one of the surfaces (do not apply the adhesive to the activated surface). Do not spread the adhesive with a cloth, brush or similar. Assemble parts within a few minutes and position accurately as the adhesive sets quickly. The activator can be used to cure adhesive outside the glue line. Spray or drip activator on the excess adhesive. Fix or press parts together until the adhesive has reached hand strength. The product should be allowed to cure completely before loading (approx. 24 to 72 h).
