Original equipment seals usually don't come with a wear ring. If you installed a service part previously, it will have a wear ring. If the service part was the new, redesigned seal, you may not need this tool. If the service part was an original service seal, you'll likely need this tool.
This tool is needed to prevent engine damage when removing the rear wear ring.
Please kindly note that This tool will not remove the Flywheel Adapter Plate.
