The IPR Valve is responsible for controlling the output pressure of the high pressure oil pump.
Failure of the IPR valve can cause a multitude of drivability symptoms including no-start conditions.
Excessive buildup of shavings on the IPR inlet screen will cause the screen to collapse which will allow particles into the IPR valve causing it to jam.
If you are experiencing no or hard starting when the engine is hot or after stalling and usually starts when it is cold or your vehicle is idling erratically or jerking then you may have a problem with your IPR valve.
The kit helps to prevent having poor idle, stalling and no-start condition of your car.
