This is a set of two handcrafted cigar box guitar bridges, made from beautiful red-orange exotic padauk wood. These are perfect for 3 and 4-string cigar box guitars, and can be customized with string grooves for any configuration. These are hand-made in the U.S.A - milled and crafted in the C. B. Gitty Workshops in New Hampshire. The approximate dimensions of each bridge is: 2 3/8" long by 3/16" wide by 7/16" high. Since these are hand-milled, the sizes of each individual bridge may vary slightly - but that's OK, these are cigar box guitars we're talking about, they don't have to be perfect and uniform eveyr time! These bridges have been rough-sanded and may require a bit more finish sanding to suit your needs. They are also unfinished, and can be treated with linseed oil or other finishes as needed. Since these are cut in a cross-grain style, some care is neede din handling, as they won't stand up to a lot of torsion without snapping. But rest assured, they have plenty of strength for use as bridges - we have used a good few on our own cigar box guitars! Please note that it can help to put a very thin coating of a rubbery adhesive on the feet of these to help them stay in place on your cigar box, as on smoother boxes they can tend to walk a little bit without something to help hold them in place. We apply a very thin sheen of hot glue, spread it thin and let it dry, before placing the bridge on the box - this allows it to still be movable if needed, while keeping it firmly seated in place when playing.
