Excellent Performance: The Solar Surge Protector Device (MNSPD) is a Type 1 device per UL1449 rev3. Designed for both AC and DC systems and provides protection to service panels, load centers or where the SPD is directly connected to the electronic device requiring protection
Reliable Surge Protection: SPD are available in three different voltages to maximize protection requirements. Protection is achieved by reducing the clamping voltage to a safe voltage that the system can withstand without damaging any electronics in the system
MNSPD-600-DC Surge Protector: MNSPD-600 for all DC circuits up to 600 volts .The DC SPD will work well on all DC circuits up to 600 volts as well . The difference between the AC and DC SPD is the way the LED's are powered. The protection side of things is identical
Grounding System: A good grounding system is essential for both safety and lightning protection. The NEC recommends a grounding resistance of 25 ohms or less. The lightning protection industry recommends a grounding resistance of 10 ohms or less. A thorough evaluation of the grounding system is strongly recommended. MNSPD-600 Surge Protector is perfect for off-grid and grid-tie solar systems/Residential and commercial solar installations/DIY solar enthusiasts and professional installers Device to ensure long-lasting performance and protection for your solar power system
NOTE: All units are compatible with both AC and DC systems regardless of the box markings, the only difference is how the indicator lights work. Each unit has several lights and a DC unit hooked up to a DC system will power all of the indicator lights and vice versa; an AC unit hooked up to an AC system will power all of the indicator lights. If you hook a DC unit to an AC system, however, only 1 of the indicator lights will work and vice versa, but the unit will still be safe and function properly
