Special Features

  • LOW-SPEED TOOL COMPATIBILITY: This 5-inch bush hammer plate features a 5/8"-11 threaded arbor for compatible variable-speed angle grinders and polishers. Operate at or below 1,000 RPM and do not use with fixed high-speed equipment. Confirm thread size and speed range before use.
  • CSP 4–5 CONCRETE ROUGHENING: Three rotating alloy rollers with 30 cone-shaped teeth each produce a coarse, pockmarked profile comparable to CSP 4–5 on suitable concrete. Final texture varies with the substrate, speed, pressure, and number of passes.
  • PREP FOR COATINGS AND OVERLAYS: Mechanically roughens concrete before epoxy systems, high-build coatings, overlays, repair mortar, and other bonded applications. The textured profile increases surface area and prepares the substrate for the next application.
  • POOL DECK AND OUTDOOR FLOOR PREP: Creates a rough textured finish on suitable pool decks, pool pavers, patios, walkways, steps, and outdoor concrete slabs for projects requiring added surface texture or anti-slip surface preparation.
  • HARD COATING REMOVAL: This bush hammer tool helps break up hard, aged, or failing epoxy, paint, and other bonded surface layers while roughening the concrete below. Results vary with coating type, thickness, bond strength, and substrate condition.
  • CONCRETE AND STONE TEXTURING: Suitable for compatible concrete, granite, marble, terrazzo, bluestone, limestone, and similar hard mineral surfaces. Test a small area first because material hardness and existing finish affect the final texture.
  • EXPOSE AGGREGATE BEFORE POLISHING: Removes the upper cement-rich surface to help expose aggregate before subsequent concrete polishing or decorative finishing. Use controlled overlapping passes to develop the required exposure gradually.
  • PATCH REPAIR AND BONDING PREP: Useful for concrete patch areas, repair zones, and new-to-existing concrete connections where a coarse mechanical profile is required before applying repair material or forming a bonded surface.
  • 5-INCH DUAL-LAYER DESIGN: The 5-inch double-layer plate combines three rotating rollers with a spring-mounted structure that helps cushion impact while working across uneven surfaces. Suitable for localized repairs, edges, steps, and manageable floor areas.
  • OPERATION, CLEANING AND CARE: Start at low speed, apply light controlled pressure, keep the plate moving, and use overlapping passes. Do not force the tool or hold it in one position. After use, remove debris, dry the rollers completely, apply light oil to the spindle areas, and inspect the plate and fasteners before the next job.
