The toe and counter are brushed with abrasive wax to give an antique finish. Laces can be opened up to accommodate a broader foot. The linings are faux fur for softness, breathability and comfort. The outsole is made of Thermo-plastic rubber and has a rocker bottom for enhanced walking motion and less strain on the back. Removable "4D Technology" footbed with four different densities developed in Germany. This high-density recovery foam never flattens.
