The filament track switch intelligently routes 3d printing material from your AMS units to whichever nozzle the slicer assigns, no more manual spool swapping. Dual-extrusion 3D printers significantly accelerate multi-color printing by reducing the flushing time required by single-extrusion machines
Unbinds the AMS from specific nozzles, allowing any filament to feed into any nozzle regardless of configuration. This enables dynamic filament mapping, supports mid-print color reassignments
The X2D supports up to 4 AMS 2Pro and 8 AMS-HT units simultaneously, 12 units with 24 slots in total, linked via the 4-in-1 PTFE adapter, this has nothing to do with track switch, does not reduce expansion limits. Using the 4-in-1 PTFE adapter with just two AMS units is discouraged
Widely compatible with a variety of 1.75mm filaments such as PETG, ABS, TPU and PLA, etc. It does not support materials that are sensttive to feed resistance and may fail to load or unload; it also does not support external spools. When using an external spool, it will permanently occupy one extruder channel, making the filament track switch unable to dynamically map filament from the AMS to the two extruders, so not for this
If the filament gets stuck at the filament track switch outlet:
Reconnect the PTFE tube between the filament track switch and the filament buffer
Install the pneumatic connector locking tab on the filament track switch outlet
Replace the PTFE tube between the filament track switch and the filament buffer
Please Note:
After installing the filament track switch on X2D, high-precision nozzle offset calibration cannot be performed
