Fast heel-end neck relief adjustments
StewMac Hot Rod spoke wheel truss rods let you dial in neck relief on bolt-on electric guitars and basses from the heel—no pickguard removal. Insert a thin driver into the side of the 1/2" spoke nut for smooth, controlled turns.
True two-way correction for pro results
Twin rods in threaded brass collars deliver dependable 2-way action to correct both upbow and backbow. The stainless steel active rod provides strength and consistent feel for pro luthiers and serious players.
Clean, straightforward installation
Fits in a straight channel with no filler strip required. Route a straight 7/32"-wide x 7/16"-deep slot (measured from the bottom of the fretboard) and provide an access cavity for the nut. For proper operation, install with the active rod (the rod with the adjustment nut) below the passive rod.
Choose 18.25" for many electric guitars or 24.25" for basses. Overall length includes the nut.
