III. Product Definition and Principle
A Rogowski coil, also known as a current measuring coil or differential current transformer, is a toroidal coil uniformly wound on a non-ferromagnetic material.
Output Signal: Differential voltage signal of current with respect to time; requires an integrator to reconstruct the true current.
Working Principle: Based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction; only suitable for AC and pulse current measurement.
Name Origin: Named after the Polish-born German physicist Walter Rogowski.
