【Dragon Katana】 A functional Japanese katana hand forged from 1045 carbon steel, mounted with an openwork dragon tsuba. The 28.3-inch blade is full tang for a single solid piece of steel from edge to pommel, built for real use rather than wall display alone.
【1045 Carbon Steel, Heat Tempered】 The blade is heat tempered through its body, leaving a visible wavy temper pattern near the edge. The edge is hand-sharpened and suited to tameshigiri, cutting tatami mats and bamboo, with a bo-hi (fuller groove) running each side to lighten and balance the blade.
【Dragon Tsuba & Rayskin Handle】 An openwork dragon tsuba guards the hand, seated above a fitted habaki blade collar. The wood handle is wrapped over genuine rayskin (samegawa) and navy-blue cotton ito with a golden menuki for a secure, slip-resistant two-handed grip.
【Full Tang & Black Saya】 The single-piece full tang is held by a bamboo mekugi peg. The blade sheathes in a black piano-lacquered wooden saya tied with a black cotton sageo cord. Approximately 28.3-inch blade, 10.8-inch handle, and 41 inches overall.
