MATERIAL REALITY
These are coated paper, not vinyl. Built for indoor facility use and dry loading docks — environments where the label stays protected. Not for prolonged outdoor exposure to rain, direct sun, or freezing temps. If the drum lives outside uncovered, this isn't the right material.
What coated paper does well: takes ballpoint and Sharpie without beading, and the writing stays legible for months indoors. When the drum gets emptied, the adhesive releases cleanly from metal and painted surfaces — no sticky residue left behind.
INSTALLATION NOTES
Clean the drum surface first. Dust, grease, or flaking paint weakens the bond — wipe it down before applying. Press firmly from the center outward to push out air bubbles. Once it's down, it stays.
For curved drum surfaces, apply to a flat area if possible. A little wrinkling at the edges won't affect readability.
