Direct Replacement 4-Pin Relay for Nissan and Infiniti Vehicles
This 25230-7995A relay is a direct replacement for the factory 4-pin SPDT relay used in a wide range of Nissan and Infiniti vehicles. It is most commonly installed in the engine compartment fuse/relay box as the radiator fan (engine cooling fan) relay. However, depending on the specific model and fuse box slot, it may also power accessory circuits or the ignition switch.
Before You Buy – Critical Verification Steps:
Check the part number on your original relay: It must be 25230-7995A (or 252307995A).
Check your fuse box legend: Confirm that the relay cavity you intend to replace is for the cooling fan, accessory power, or ignition circuit.
Common Symptoms of a Failing Relay:
Engine cooling fan does not turn on when engine reaches operating temperature.
Accessory power (e.g., power outlets, audio system) is intermittent or dead.
Ignition switch related issues (e.g., no start, no accessory position).
Overheating due to fan not operating.
Note: These symptoms can also be caused by blown fuses, failed fan motors, bad sensors, or damaged wiring. Always diagnose the circuit before replacing the relay.
Installation Guidelines:
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Locate the engine compartment fuse/relay box. Remove the cover and find the correct relay cavity using the diagram printed on the cover.
Pull the old relay straight up using gentle, even force. Do not rock or pry excessively. Inspect the socket terminals for signs of melting, corrosion, or looseness. If damaged, replace the fuse box or repair the socket before installing a new relay.
Align the 4 pins of the new relay with the socket and press straight down until it clicks or seats fully.
Reconnect the battery and test the circuit (e.g., start engine and verify cooling fan engages when A/C is turned on or engine reaches temperature).
