Specific Usage (Operating Steps)
1. Remove the Old Nut / Cutting Disc
Confirm that the angle grinder is powered off or the battery has been removed.
Use the included wrench (or by hand, if it is a quick-release design) to loosen the original flange nut counterclockwise.
Remove the old cutting disc, grinding disc, or flap wheel that needs to be replaced.
2. Install the New Cutting Disc
Insert the new cutting disc or grinding wheel onto the angle grinder spindle (5/8-11 threaded spindle).
Ensure the cutting disc is oriented correctly (usually the label side faces outwards).
3. Install this Product (Flange Locking Nut / Clamping Nut)
Screw this nut clockwise onto the spindle until it contacts the cutting disc.
Standard Model: Tighten moderately with a wrench (do not overtighten to avoid damaging the cutting disc or making disassembly difficult).
Quick-Release Model (with pull-tab / D-shaped structure / foldable wing nut style): Tighten by hand, then fold the pull-tab flat; no wrench needed / tool-free installation.
4. Safety Check
Manually rotate the cutting blade to ensure it is stably installed and free from wobbling.
Run the machine idle for a few seconds to check for any abnormal noises or vibrations before normal use. This replacement nut is designed to maintain operational stability in high-intensity, high-speed environments.
