Description

Beyond their striking appearance, Box carbon headsets offer more. The Box One Carbon Tapered Headset is designed for performance, from top to bottom. Each unit boasts a custom CNC-machined aluminum compression cap, shaped like the Box logo with cut-outs for weight reduction. An anodized aluminum bolt at the top cap's center threads into a gold anodized aluminum expander plug, eliminating the need for a star nut and accommodating all 1-1/8-inch steerer tubes, even carbon fiber ones. The top bearing cover, made of carbon fiber, adds style and reduces weight. At the core are two titanium-nitride coated, sealed, 4545 bearings, offering low friction, increased corrosion resistance, and smoother rolling. A split crown race simplifies installation and removal from forks. Box 1.5-inch headsets are designed for tapered frames and forks, including an adapter crown race for straight 1-1/8-inch steerer tubes.
