Use Method:
Loosen the screws, then rotate the V-shaped block along the guide rail base to find the desired angle.
Use the vernier cursor for readings:
– The main scale displays whole degrees (1°).
– The vernier scale provides fine readings in 10' increments.
When the “0” line on the vernier aligns with the “0” on the main scale, surface A is parallel to the reference plane and surface B is perpendicular.
If the vernier “0” is to the right of the main scale “0,” read degrees and minutes on the right side (counterclockwise rotation).
If the vernier “0” is to the left, read from the left side (clockwise rotation).
Adjust to the target angle and tighten the V-block and the base to lock it in place.
