FASWORX 881170A15 Side-Mount Remote Control (Mercury/Mariner Replacement) This FASWORX control box is a drop-in replacement for the popular Mercury / Quicksilver side-mount remote control used on many outboards with integral power trim. It duplicates the OEM layout — right-hand, pull-to-open handle with trim/tilt on the grip, built-in warning horn provision, and an 8-pin, 15 ft harness for easy connection to the engine. Mercury later superseded part 881170A15 to 8M0178521; that supersession also covers 881170A1 and 16900A15. If your old box was labeled “Commander 4000” or “MSC 4000 side mount” with an 8-pin plug and 15-ft lead, this is the style you're looking for.
