RAM's Borg & Beck clutches are used in applications where high RPM is a consideration, or for Chrysler and AMC applications where fitting a Long Style clutch may be a problem. All RAM units are assembled using explosion resistant pressure rings, heavy duty levers and hardware, chrome vanadium springs,and new covers. This type of clutch will increase the pedal effort in order to achieve the extra holding power, and may require strengthening of your clutch linkage components for proper operation. Roller, or centrifugal assist models are available for non-shifting applications such as clutchless transmissions, or where shifting is done below 6000 RPM.
