The Garmin Descent T2 Transceiver is a scuba tank transmitter designed to add advanced air integration and diver communication capabilities to compatible Garmin Descent dive computers. Using Garmin's SubWave sonar technology, the Descent T2 transmits real-time tank pressure information to the diver's wrist-mounted dive computer. This allows divers to monitor air consumption rate, remaining air time, and tank pressure without manually checking gauges. The system also supports multi-diver monitoring, allowing a compatible Descent dive computer to track up to eight paired tank transmitters during group dives. This capability provides improved situational awareness by allowing divers to view their buddies' tank pressures and depths at a glance. In addition to tank monitoring, the Descent T2 enables underwater messaging between divers using compatible Descent Mk3i dive computers. Preformatted messages can be exchanged at distances up to 30 meters, helping divers communicate underwater more effectively. The transceiver is built for challenging dive environments and is rated to withstand depths of up to 200 meters (20 ATM).
