It moves along the camshaft profile to precisely regulate valve opening timing, lift and duration, and control the cylinder intake and exhaust rhythm. This optimizes the efficiency of intake and exhaust cycles, enabling cylinders to receive adequate air-fuel mixture and fully discharge exhaust gas, which directly affects the engine's power performance.
Fitted with rollers or built-in elastic structures at contact positions, it absorbs mechanical impact at high speeds and turns rigid friction into rolling contact or elastic buffering. It cuts down vibration and operating noise of the valve train, reduces contact load and component wear, and greatly prolongs the service life of relevant parts.
Equipped with adjusting screws or hydraulic adaptive assemblies, it dynamically offsets thermal expansion and contraction under high temperatures as well as wear from long-term use. It keeps the valve lash within the standard range, avoiding incomplete valve closure, idle noise and insufficient cylinder pressure, and improving overall operational reliability.
Fabricated from high-strength alloy with quenched and hardened contact surfaces, it is equipped with internal oil passages for continuous lubrication. It bears alternating loads and repeated impacts at high engine speeds, lowering the risks of surface pitting, scratching and cracking to adapt to long-term high-intensity operation.
