Stop the Leaks in Your 3-Fan Condenser.The Trans/Air 301712 is an OEM Micro-Channel (MCHX) condenser coil found in heavy-duty 3-Fan A/C Units. Used extensively on shuttle buses, paratransit vehicles, and school buses, these coils are the heat exchangers responsible for dumping heat out of the bus.
Why Replace?
If your A/C system won't hold a charge, your condenser coil is the likely culprit. Located outside the vehicle, it is a magnet for road debris and corrosion. Because Micro-Channel coils are nearly impossible to patch reliably, installing a fresh 301712 Core is the standard repair to get the bus back on the road.
Fitment Warning:
Trans/Air manufactures several different 3-Fan coils (e.g., 301618 vs. 301712). While they look similar, they are NOT interchangeable. Please inspect the white Tyvek tag on your existing coil or contact Trans/Air with your unit serial number to confirm you need the 301712.
