The most common reason we hear is that the Deck has been dropped or knocked while plugged in, this causes the USB cable to yank out and physically damage the port. It can also happen while plugging in the cable. The ports are quite delicate so if the USB Charging cable isn't plugged in carefully to the Steam Deck it can cause damage.

It may fix issues such as your console not charging, syncing or only charging, syncing when you hold the power cable in place.

The replacement USB Charging port pins match the Steam Deck motherboard's solder pads accurately, So that NO modification or time consuming adjustments are needed to align and install.
