M4121-SFP28-X4 (Z) is a PCIe v3.0 x4 single port fiber 25G Ethernet network adapter developed based on the Mellanox ConnectX-4 main control solution. It features SRIOV technology, which provides dedicated adapter resources for virtual machines in servers to meet network isolation and protection functions. In addition, I/O virtualization technology provides higher server utilization for data centers, while meeting customer requirements for reducing operating costs and on-site wiring complexity. It supports 1/10/25G three rate connections to meet the virtualization applications of current network facilities. Unique feature design: 1. This network adapter achieves efficient computation by offloading protocol processing and data movement overhead (such as RDMA and send/receive semantics) from the CPU, thereby providing more processor power for applications. 2. This network adapter supports SRIOV technology, which divides the PF into multiple VFs for use by the upper layer virtual machine. It is equivalent to the virtual machine bypassing the VI and directly using PCIe devices to process I/O and transmit data.
