Overview

This SCap Supercapacitor UPS Board is a compact backup power module designed to provide a short, reliable buffer during power interruptions. Built with two supercapacitors, it offers
long cycle life and strong discharge capability, making it ideal for projects that need time to save data and perform a safe shutdown when external power is suddenly removed.

The board supports a wide 5V–24V input range and multiple input options, including USB Type-C, DC barrel jack, and a 2-pin screw terminal, allowing easy use with various adapters and
power sources. Output is regulated to 5V, with multiple output interfaces—USB Type-A, 2-pin screw terminal, and 2-pin header—so you can power different peripherals at the same time.

When external power is present and the supercapacitors are fully charged, the module can deliver up to 5V/5A peak output. If external power is disconnected, the charged capacitors can
provide a stable 5V/3A backup output. Typical backup duration is approximately 15–110 seconds, depending on the load current and capacitor charge level—providing enough buffer time
for data saving and orderly shutdown in many SBC and DIY applications.

For safer integration, the board includes input reverse-polarity protection and output short-circuit protection. Status is easy to read using onboard indicators: input power LED, output LED,
and supercapacitor voltage LEDs. The compact PCB measures 85×56 mm and includes six M2.5 mounting holes for secure installation.
