In immunohistochemistry, this antibody identifies keratin K6 in non-keratinized squamous epithelia, follicular outer root sheath, and proliferating epidermal cells, such as those in psoriatic lesions. It does not react with non-stratified epithelia. This guinea pig polyclonal antibody targets human type II (basic) keratin K6 (previously known as cytokeratin 6), with a molecular weight of 56,000 and a pI of 7.8.
