A modified, temperature-stable recombinant Taq-DNA Polymerase from the thermophilic bacterium Thermus aquaticus, stored in a storage buffer, supplemented with 10x concentrated PCR reaction buffer and 10x concentrated PCR reaction buffer with red Gellade dye. ROTI Pol TaqHY is recommended for all PCR applications requiring very short cycles or high yield. This Polymerase Set, ROTI Pol TaqHY, is optimally suited for all Taq-based PCR protocols with a) high yield, such as those performed before cloning, for amplicon elutions, on low-copy templates, or for educational purposes, or when b) particularly short cycle times are desired. The TaqHY DNA Polymerase included in the set possesses both 5' → 3' polymerase and 5' -flap endonuclease activity, generating a 3'dA (adenine) overhang on PCR products, suitable for TA cloning.
