💖What is the difference between high borosilicate glass and ordinary glass?
💖Borosilicate glass with SiO2, B2O3, Al2O3, Na2O as the basic components, when SiO2 > 78%, B2O3 > 10% for high silica boron glass, the glass system has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion, good thermal stability, chemical stability and mechanical properties, has a wide range of applications.
💖To give a simple example: pour boiling water into a cold glass cup, the ordinary glass cup will break, but the high borosilicate glass will not happen.
💖Example of use: To prepare a single-cell separation device, BJ-40 capillary glass tube (outer diameter 1.0mm, inner diameter 0.8mm) was immersed in 1 mol/L hydrochloric acid for 24 h, then continuously rinsed with ultra-pure water, dried at 65 ℃, and autoclaved for use. Take out the fine glass tube and burn it to red heat outside the alcohol lamp, leave the flame, and quickly draw it into a fine silk to make a mouth straw. A section of aseptic plastic tube (30~40 cm) was taken, and sterilized 10 μl and 100 μl suction heads were connected at both ends, and 10 μl suction heads were connected with oral straws to establish an oral controlled capillary single cell separation device.
