Popular applications include commercial or home audio systems with too few line inputs, or situations where input selection needs to be made on equipment that is not in a convenient location. SPDT relay outputs are provided that mimic the A/B input selection, allowing this device to trigger external components. It may even be desirable to use this switch simply as a sound activated SPDT relay.
