Low pressure ball valves are generally used in water, oil, and gas applications. Also known as a shut-off valve, ball valves are used to control fluid movement. They are used to ensure smooth operation within the system. Ball valves are easy to handle and they require minimal maintenance due to their quarter turn valve control feature. There are three types of low-pressure ball valve; 1 piece, 2 and 3 piece. Depending on the flow of passage, these ball valves are designed either full bore or reduced ball valve. A 3-way ball valve has 3 ports connected to the piping to allow fluid or gas to flow through. Depending on the flow direction, a 3-way ball valve may have one inlet with two outlets (T-port designed) or one inlet with one outlet (L-port designed). In short, any port can be inlet or outlet port. The handle will be rotated according to the marking to determine which port to be opened or closed. The material used is stainless steel SS316. It is able to withstand 1000psi of working pressure, and the connection type is NPT. 3-way ball valve can withstand temperature between -29°C to 150°C.
