This calendar is a collection of works by Kawase Hasui, a leading figure in the field of new prints.
Nowadays, Hasui's popularity is on a par with Hokusai and Hiroshige, who represent the Japanese printmaking world, and he is highly known and popular especially overseas.
He presented a nostalgic view of rural Japan and produced over 620 artworks.
