FindTape Premium Polyester Felt Tape is a high-quality, 1mm felt tape made from needle-punched polyester felt. Designed for durability and versatility, this black felt tape provides a cost-effective alternative to wool felt while maintaining reliable performance. Its sturdy rubber-based adhesive makes it a go-to solution for a wide range of industrial, commercial, and even household applications, including fabric repairs, sealing, framing, padding, surface protection, and more. Our Premium Felt Tape, while similar to our standard Felt Tape, offers a stronger adhesive with greater tensile strength and adhesion. On a stainless steel test panel, the Premium tape has a 156 ounces per inch adhesion on the exposed side, and 193 ounces per inch on the liner side. The standard tape features an adhesion around 130 ounces per inch. Additionally, the tensile strength of the Premium tape is 65 pounds per inch (longitudinal) and 80 pounds per inch (transverse), which compares to 23 for our standard tape. For more reliable, longer lasting and stronger adhesion, the Premium tape does the job! Unlike wool felt, polyester felt is more affordable and resistant to a variety of environmental stressors. It resists wear, sunlight, and aging, making it ideal for long-term use in both indoor and outdoor settings. These adhesive felt rolls are suitable for demanding environments where other materials may degrade over time. Additionally, it performs well in dry heat applications, tolerating operating temperatures between 0°F to 120°F. Designed for versatility, this felt tape functions with perfection in a wide range of applications, including filtration, padding, and gasketing. It's also great as craft art supplies, protecting furniture legs or floors, framing artwork or shadowboxes, lining windows, or quick repairs in upholstery or curtains. It can even be used in classroom decor and offices! To apply the tape, simply cut a small piece off the roll using scissors. Please note that the beginning of the roll includes a 2- to 4-inch leader of double-sided film tape. Peeling the felt gently from the corner to remove it from the release liner helps prevent splitting the liner or damaging the adhesive. Avoid pulling the liner away from the felt, which may cause the tape to separate improperly. Once applied, the strong rubber adhesive ensures a secure, lasting bond on most surfaces.
