PAC-KING. Stuffing Box Sealant and Injection System. Style 10*: Uses - High performance, chemically inert; similar to PAC-KING style 3 but without bearing pellets; ideal for general service and aggressive chemicals; pH 0 - 14; temp 500°F. * Injectable through button head fitting. PAC-KING: PAC-KING eliminates problems caused by leaks, worn shafts and old machines. Ideal for worn shafts. Replaces braided packing in many applications. Eliminates seal water problems. Saves energy as it lubricates and cools. Takes ressures to 200 PSIG. Shrugs off nasty chemicals. Cases contain 10, ½ pound sticks. Also available in 5 lb. plastic tubs. Installation Instructions: Pump and valve leaks can be adjusted and sealed off by merely injecting one of our injectable PAC-KING styles while the equipment is operating under pressure. PACKING styles are being supplied in stick form (1½" x 9") in a plastic liner. Pop the stick (liner and all) in the PACKING Injection Gun and inject the sealant into the stuffing box. #10, can be pushed through our PAC-KING I.G. Button Head fitting. This allows injection during operation. The fitting will fit directly into the pump threaded flush port. Hand pack the stuffing box using braided end rings with either style of PAC-KING in the middle (no lantern ring installed). Connect the injector to the button head filling and upon start up inject more packing as required. (Never inject packing in a pump unless the shaft is rotating). If a leak occurs, merely inject PAC-KING into the box. If the application requires one of our long fiber PACKINGS º, it will be necessary to use a ¼ turn ball valve. No styles with bearing pellets will be injectable. PAC-KING, makes it possible to send your lubrication specialist into the plant with two guns. A grease gun to lube motors, etc, and a second gun to seal off or prevent leaks in various rotating equipment.
