Special Features

  • Natural pigments obtained from natural earth and ochres are extracted from quarries. These non-toxic pigments yield soft natural tones with a matte opaque finish and are UV resistant.
  • Ideal for use in acrylic, oil, watercolor, lime, natural binders or in white concrete or cement mix.
  • We recommend a maximum ratio of 10% pigment to paint, binder or cement/concrete mix should be observe to keep the integrity of the product it is put into. For best result dilute pigment into lukewarm water before adding to prefered product. See attached picture for reference of shade creation in limepaint and decoratives cement at a 10% ratio.
  • Non-toxic and Eco Friendly , It provides natural earth tones and lasting vibrancy for painting, plasters, or decorative finishes. These non-toxic pigments yield soft natural tones with a matte opaque finish and are UV resistant.
  • 1 kilo/2.2lbs of pigment will tint 10 liters (2.6 gallons) of paint or decoratives plaster and finishes to the shade of the reference photo depending on the base colour of the product it is added into.
  • 1 Kilo/2.2lbs of pigment will tint up to 10 Kg/ 22lbs of white cement/concrete mix to the reference photo shade. For grey cement, the colour will vary.
  • Powder colorant! Natural Mineral Earth Pigment can be mixed together to create unique shade.

Description

Natural pigments obtained from natural earth and ochres are extracted from quarries. These non-toxic pigments yield soft natural tones with a matte opaque finish and are UV resistant. Our small packets of pigments are sold by volume (only the larger 1 kilo/2.2 pound bags are by weight). The values indicated on the labels (ex: 80ml/2.7 OZ or 150ml/5 OZ) are volume, not weight. As every pigment has very different densities and as we use volumes of pigments for our paint recipes, we sell the smaller packages in volumes to align with our recipes.
