Founded in 1889 as the Star Headlight & Lantern Company, over the decades Star grew to become an industry leader in the rail, amber light, and emergency lighting markets. Star's 110,000-square-foot manufacturing center is located in Avon, New York and accommodates all of their in-house electronic and finished product assemblies. This includes plastic injection molding, metal fabrication, product engineering, warehousing, shipping, customer service, sales, and technical support. Having all of these functions under one roof gives Star the ability to engineer, build, expedite, and ship product quickly and efficiently. Now owned by Grote Industries, a family-owned business with nearly 125 years of experience in vehicle lighting and safety systems, Star Safety Technologies by Grote is poised to embark upon a bright, new era of growth.
