Hi, my name is Jamie, a passionate nature photographer from Las Vegas, Nevada. I have been creating art from my photos for almost 20 years. It has always been my dream to become a full-time professional artist. I intended to take a photo of Yosemite Valley from the spot where the famous photographer by the name of Ansel once stood at Tunnel View overlook.

After planning for over a year, I traveled more than 9 hours from my home to reach this iconic spot. The hard part was to time my photograph perfectly. I was determined to succeed. I knew this was my chance to capture something exceptional.

The night before I were supposed to visit Tunnel View for sunrise, my plans were nearly thwarted when one of my pups fell ill. While I typically wouldn't let anything stand in my way, this was the one thing that would. My heart ached for my fur baby not feeling well and I was ready to leave immediately if she needed a doctor. Luckily, she perked up at the end of the night gave her food a try. This gave her the energy that renewed my faith that it was alright to stay another day.

I woke up early the following day and made it to the overlook with moments to spare. Looking at the valley below, I was in awe of the beauty. The View of El Capitan was breathtaking, and the sight of Bridalveil Falls cascading down the mountain was bright and mesmerizing. The felt cool breeze against my skin and heard the sound of the wind whispering through the trees. The smell dew was in the air, and I could feel the anticipation building as I waited for the sun to rise.

The photo was one of the most beautiful pictures I had ever taken. I felt a sense of accomplishment and pride as I received compliments from my viewers. This experience was one that I will always treasure, and it reminded me of the power of determination and hope.
